Marvin- World Traveler

Marvin is doing great! He's right beside me here in Memphis for the holidays, and he and my cat Clapton have become buds! Marv came along with me and my boyfriend on a month long road trip this summer to South Carolina (took him to the beach, wasn't a big hit since water isn't exactly his thing), up to Massachusetts and then out to Colorado, and it's safe to say he had a blast. The car is without a doubt his happy place and we couldn't have asked for a better travel buddy. I can't believe it's only been a year since he joined the family, it feels like we've had him forever. Looking forward to the calendar and the shirts, I hope you're having a great holiday season.

Cheers!
Sam

Molly is now Ayla

Everything is going absolutely fantastic! I had originally planned on Molly (Ayla now) sleeping in her crate the first couple nights she was here until she got used to the place - but she's been sleeping in my bed all night long. I swear - you would've thought that she'd been living here her whole life! :-)

Everything is going fantastic and everyone loves her. Sadie and her play all the time, so it works out well.

Thanks again for all your help!

Chance is in heaven!

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that Chance is continuing to adapt extremely well. I adore him, and Dale is really enjoying him. They "hang out" together in his office/studio during the work day. He is in HEAVEN! When we go on our morning runs (2 miles), his little feet move so quickly, I'm not sure you can see them! Chance especially loves his bed, and he continues to sleep well through the night. His favorite thing to do (besides running) is riding in the car, and he behaves beautifully. I take him with me whenever I can. A couple of days ago, we went to my mom's assisted living and the ladies in my mom's card group petted him. They were completely enamored with his great manners, his soft coat and his total sweetness.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for taking such wonderful care of Chance until we found him! We truly enjoy his "dual" personality...cuddly and loving, yet also a bold, brave "big dog". He is everything we could have wished for and MORE. :)

Happy Tail

Seriously ladies--this dog is almost too good to be true. No accidents . . . Slept through the night without a whimper. . . Ran three miles at my side this morning . . . Ate a hearty breakfast afterwards . . . Played fetch with his stuffed mouse . . . And eating up those belly rubs! He is such a good boy and the house feels like a home again with him sleeping by the hearth at my feet. Thanks so much!

Sienna is Home!

Hey!

Sienna did get to sleep in the bed last night! She also went to Petco with me yesterday and got a new collar, leash, and treats. I took her to the dog park today, and she jumped in the pond leash and all! I put her right in the bath tub when we got home. So far, I think she is adjusting pretty well here. Thanks for everything!

Isabelle

She's doing great! She saw the vet, and he was very impressed both with her overall health and with her calmness there. She had a little stomach bug last week, but seems to be recovering fine, and we were amused to realize that she asks to go out when she has to throw up!
She's also getting along well with Duane now (the black cat), and Lew (the big one) just doesn't seem to care one way or another. We are taking her with us to Atlanta this weekend, and when we get back I think we'll take her to the groomers, since her fur is starting to get a little long around her eyes and mouth.
We are so very glad to have her as a part of our family, and so glad that you were able to care for her until we found her!

Rebecca

P.S. We got her a "bee" costume for Halloween!

File #1 3 she found her bed when I got up for a moment.JPG exceeds the maximum file size. Error: 1.

Hannah Upate!

Attached is a recent photo taken about three weeks ago while we were enjoying a lazy Saturday in the backyard.

Jerry and I recently purchased a home on Mud Island so we will be moving within the next year or so (once our renovations are complete). Hannah has already become quite well acquainted with her new neighbors.

She's still full of life and loves nothing more than swimming after tennis balls in the lakes of Shelby Farms. One day a family with four children showed up and they didn't have a dog. The children ALL wanted to play ball with Hannah. LOL… I had never seen Hannah more exhausted than that night. I remember I had to wake her up to eat dinner.

Kind regards,

Lisa

Lily

The story behind this shot is as cute as the photo! Lily takes multiple toys to bed with her all the time but this time I saw her get the puppy, move it all around until she got it as you see it and I was lucky enough to catch the shot. Sometimes I think I could write a book about these 2! Hugs all around....Judie

Sadie Lu

We decided to take Sadie out to Dizzy's then dropped her back home while we ran to Trader Joe's.....she seems to be doing well! She is tired and everyone is having quiet time in their rooms and Sadie is resting on her bed looking out her window :)

Thanks so much for allowing us to adopt her, she is a treasure and we already love her so much. ~Mary Catherine

Peanut

"...Peanut made his first trip to Sonic at lunch and had a hotdog and
then went to Petsmart. He did very well. Also, he LOVES to be brushed. WE have been rolling around in the backyard with fur flying everywhere. I have definitely found a way to
bond with him!"

Mickey

I happened upon Agape at a pets store when I never thought of getting a dog until I seen one I liked, it didn't work out, the second dog I wanted didn't work out either. The third was a charm. My Mickey!!

I have had Mickey for about 4-5 yrs. and I can't thank Agape enough for him!! Agape is a great organization that cares for dogs and matches them with the right people. I am an active advocate for this organization.

Mickey is the best, everybody loves him. I got so lucky, doesn't walk well on a lead, but doesn't get on the couch, or wake me up to go out. Mickey loves the car & goes with me whenever he can in the cooler weather. We are both intuned to each other. I always know what he wants, he has his own futton & I love taking care of him.

I can't thank Agape enough for bringing Mickey to me. He makes my life complete. I am so lucky to have him ! I have a ton of pictures, but don't know how to post them because they are actual photos, but he is a good looking Alaskan Husky that I don't know how he made it to TN, but glad he made to my house! and my heart!

Mugglemeister

The Mugglemeister is doing just great! What a guy. He has completely stolen our hearts. We are so happy that he is in our lives, and we thank you for that.

Hannah Banana

Hannah is doing GREAT! She is teaching me how to enjoy the simple things of life. I never knew that a tennis ball attached to a string could provide so many hours of endless entertainment! Hannah is a sweetheart and we love every minute with her. She's a super-great girl and the sweetest, most affectionate companion. I absolutely love her!

Charlotte with the Kids

Do you recognize this sweet puppy? It's Charlotte. We adopted her from you and life has been great ever since. We estimate her to be a little over a year old now and boy has she grown. She is such a mess! She still goes by the nickname 'Trouble' and is one of the funniest dogs we have ever had. She has stolen my son John's heart and I wondered if any dog could take the place of the dog he lost last year. We've yet to find a dog toy that she can't destroy. My daughter loves it when she has the puppy zoomies we all just sit back and laugh as she runs 20 laps through the house at 80 mph. And, oh, yes, she has turned into a big 25-pound lap dog!

We have fallen so in love with this dog. She is a perfect fit for our family. She and Sarah are pretty much inseparable. We just wanted to let you know the match with this sweet animal and this family was a good one.

Rex and the Family

Just wanted to let you know that Rex is doing great!!! It was so wonderful to see his picture on the Christmas card. What a special dog! The kids just love him and love on him all day. He is just the perfect fit. He seems just happy as can be.

Debi Butzler

Benny Boy

"Benny is such a wonderful, loving little dog. He seems to love his life here, and we certainly love him so much. He loves cuddling with Emmy and munching bones on their big bed, and playing chase outside. He gets along so well with our kitties! He's such a joy and a blessing, and I'm so happy to get to thank you for him."

Beth Hastings

Charllie is Settling In!

"Charlie's doing good. He is trying to play with big brother Flick more now. He sits on the bed and barks and paws until Flick gets up. It's hilarious. He tried playing tug of war with his brother but Flick is much stronger and pulled him down on his face. They are something else together! Everyday he gets better by miles. He's our little prince. Thank you."

Denise Wilson

We Love Lucy!

"I just loved this picture of Lucy when I saw it, so I thought I would share it with you, her first family.

"I know you probably don't hear it enough, because the puppies can't say it, so I'll say it for them. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing what you do. Lucy is such a treasure to us and all her brothers. It lifts my spirits to see her romping in the back yard, running circles around her "old man" brother trying to make him play.

"If wonderful Agape volunteers hadn't saved Lucy and her litter-mates, and taken such good care of them until they could find their forever homes...well--MY life would be lesser because of it. I don't know that I could do what all of you do, and I want you to know how special it is and how much it means to those of us who benefit from it.

"God bless you all!!!!!!"

Norman Is Home!

We love Norman so much. He is a very happy boy and has stolen our hearts. He greets me each morning (around 5:00 when Steve gets up to go running) by putting a paw on the side of the bed and his nose in my face. Fortunately, he is very polite and then lies down by the back door until about 6 when I get up. It is a very nice way to awaken each morning : ). He has been such a wonderful gift to our family. I can't thank you enough.
